Crazy-crazy things going on here. Mom's had a double round of surgery on her wrists (relieving CTS) - the second was done last week - so I've been busy helping her out, plus I've been completing/sending off my application for UK Citizenship. 'Sdone now, sent it off a couple weeks ago. Here's hoping I hear good news in the 3/4+ months it'll take -_-

So, yeah. That's why there hasn't been much word about the next bit of HWCTB. BUT...I've sent my notes to , who has endorsed/expanded on ideas I've got for this li'l rollercoaster. Think of HWCTB as DC's "The Phantom Menace", but bigger, better, darker and answering a lot more questions than TPM. I'm'a stop ramblin' there...on this subject anyway.

So.

Most of you will have heard of a US murder-drama by name of "Dexter". If you haven't, shame on you. In the buzz surrounding the release of Assassin's Creed II, I got to thinking...our boy Dex ain't so far removed (actions-wise) from Altair/Ezio. Let's delve a bit deeper, hm?

I: "Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent." The only time Dexter has ever broken this one has been in self-defence. He only kills those who truly deserve it (again, rare cases of self-defence).

II: "Hide in plain sight." Being the blood spatter expert of Miami Metro's homicide department, and the go-to guy for how the kill went down is as "plain sight" as you can get while still...um...having free time? Yeah, let's go with that. Plus him being married now and having a family cements the "normal guy" facade.

III: "Never betray the Brotherhood." In this case, the Brotherhood being his own ass He's got a track record of tying up loose ends (sometimes literally) before they come back to haunt him.

How far-fetched would it be to imagine him as a current-day Assassin? Just, y'know, throwing that out there...
